Remember those da Vinci chunky book pages I did some while back (see older posts at the bottom of the page.)? Well now they have been beautifully into a chunky book by Teri Chinen, and sent out to contributors. Here is one blogger's photos of the completed book.....

Gel medium transfers onto cardstock
1 - Print out the images you want to use onto acetate. Cut to size and have them ready to use rough side down
2- Take some of the board and give it a generous coating of Omni Gel or any gel mdium should do it. Gel medium is clear acryllic paint.
3 - Let it dry for about 30 seconds then put your image on and burnish with the back of a spoon.
4- Lift a corner to see if it has transposed onto the gel - if it has fine, if it hasn't just burnish again and wait a few seconds and try again. The richer the colours the better it transposes it would seem.
On my first attempt with this technique I've had a 50% success rate. Don't leave the gel to dry too long is my tip. A generous layer of glue is good but not so thick that it squidges out when you pop your image on. Good luck if you try. Comments welcome. Photos of my successes ....

ATC's for new groups
Stone statues and nudes swaps samples. Here are some cards which took quite a while to complete because they involved the use of many different mediums, I used distress embossing to give the stone feel, glitter glue fo a little mystery and some great collage images. Nudes are printed on crushed tissue paper. There's a little of my favourite mica in there too!

Vintage avery atc's
I really enjoyed doing these avery themed bird atc's this evening. I used an old book on bird keeping for the images. It's great that Teri thought of this theme for ATC world - Love vintage, Love birds!

Easter ATC's
Here I used images by Tuscan Rose for these cute ATC's for a VPI swap for March. I used gold leaf on the background. Sadly the low morning light does not really do justice to the shiny gold but at least you can get an idea...

Old Dictionary Pages
With this swap I wanted to use some magazine images which were on very thin cheap paper. Using Royal Coat Decoupage Finish to glue and seal I found the first couple I did were dreadful. The image went all crinkly when I stuck it to the card. To avoid this I cut out the image and gave it a light coat on the rear surface with the product and let it dry. It curled up immediately but straightened out as it dried. It was easy then to apply more product to the card and stick the image down without hardly any wrinkling! If there was a little, I immediately took a clean dry flat paint brush and smoothed the image.
